Meeting Recording

update 09/05/2025

The meeting recording feature allows the full session to be saved to the cloud for easy review, archival, and generation of meeting summaries.

How to Start a Recording

  • Permission: Only the host can start or stop a recording.
  • Operation: Click the "Record" button on the bottom toolbar to begin recording; click again to stop.
  • Notification: All participants will be notified when the recording starts or stops.
  • Multiple Recordings: If recording is started and stopped multiple times during a meeting, the system will automatically merge all segments into a single video file. A unified transcript and meeting summary will be generated based on the full recording duration.

Recording Storage and Playback

  • File Storage: All recordings are automatically uploaded and stored in the organization’s cloud space. IT administrators can manage these files from the admin portal and delete them when space is limited.
  • Playback Access: After logging into the client, go to the “Past Meetings” section and click the "Playback" button next to the desired session.
  • Download Access: All meeting participants can view and download video recordings from the “Past Meetings” page.

Transcripts and Meeting Summary

  • Auto-generated Transcripts: The system automatically converts recorded audio into text, generating a transcript with speaker identification and a time-aligned timeline. Users can search keywords, locate specific content, and click timestamps to jump directly to the relevant part of the recording.
  • Viewing Summaries: Transcripts and summaries are available alongside the video files in the “Past Meetings” section and can be viewed online or exported.

Smart Summary (Manually Triggered)

  • Smart summaries are not generated automatically. The first user who views the meeting record must manually click "Generate Smart Summary" to start the process.
  • The smart summary includes three components:
    • Full-text Overview: A concise summary of the meeting’s main points.
    • Timestamped To-do Items: Actionable points and tasks with timestamps.
    • Timestamped Section Highlights: Structured topics broken down into sections with clickable timestamps.
  • All timestamps are clickable for quick navigation within the recorded video.
